13th February, 2005 the Byzantine Cultural Autonomy Foundation was set up

Lady Sara Kuo resided in Latin American for a long time; she is impressed and popular by many countries for her commerce service and public charity. Furthermore, she makes acquaintance with many countries’ leaders having very good connections and becoming a legendary Chinese figure among Latin American area.

In 2001, having been appreciated by H.I.R.H. Prince Henri, Lady Sara Kuo was appointed and conferred the noble title of “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Asia Pacific Area” and “Grand Chancellor of the Imperial Byzantine Order of the Star of Asia”, as she has been promoting the Byzantine classical culture and chivalry spirit and enhancing Eastern and Western culture exchange.

Now she has been appointed by His Highness Prince Henri as the Chief Commissioner of the Byzantine Cultural Fort Plan Preparatory and Executive Committee in 2003, and Lady Sara Kuo will be in charge of all the executive tasks in whole aspects. Also, Lady Sara has setup The Byzantine Cultural Autonomy Foundation in Malta in February 2005. It is believed that Lady Sara Kuo will create a new vision in the history of Byzantium. Lady Sara is therefore called as the Eastern Pearl of Byzantine Paleologos Royal House.

The Byzantine Cultural Autonomy Foundation, as it has been named, raise funds for cultural projects based in Malta and to support, art-related events.  The first such event was a dramatic exhibition of works in oils by the Los Angeles-based Li Zijian, noted artist who grew up in China during the excesses of Mao’s Revolution.

Lady Sara now works for the conferment and investiture of outstanding individuals to the Imperial Byzantine Order of the Star of Asia.
